We have a great burden and longing for the Church to be everything that Christ intended for her to be.
Christ did away with the temple model, which is a holy place, run by a holy man, preaching from a holy book. He said, “ Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” – 1 Corinthians 6:19. We are now that holy place and that holy man or woman with God’s holy word inside us.
The early followers lived this reality, using all the gifts that the Spirit empowered them with to heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons. Each member was living out Christ’s words when He said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” – John 14:12-14.
This was a Church that was a powerhouse in the world. The Church is not a place to go to once a week and listen to someone talk for an hour. It should be an active, daily fellowship of believers who are changing their world.
At Live Laugh Love we focus a lot on the younger generation, believing that they will be the generation to realize the power and the presence of God through His Church once again as He did in that first century. We desire to see people set free from fear, emotional burdens, and wrong believes about themselves and about God so that they can realize the full life that Christ talked about in John 10:10 when He said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (The Live in Live, Laugh, Love).
There is an intimacy with God and a joy that we miss out on when we get caught up in the do things and the religious trappings. That is not the life that Christ died to purchase for us. He died and rose again to purchase a life free of guilt, shame, striving to be good and from the all the things of this world (sins) that weigh us down. Christ came to show and fill us with a love so great that we are compelled to live for Him and to demonstrate the power of that great love to the world.
We pray that His great love, peace, power and joy will be your in abundance in Christ Jesus.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and the highest authority in all matters.
We believe the God is the creator of all things in Heaven and earth and that He loves His children (us) with a deep and abiding love, that He is infinitely loving, gracious, merciful and just.
We believe that Jesus is God in the flesh; fully God yet fully man. We believe that He died and rose again to set us free from our sins and to give us an abundant life. By dying, He satisfied perfect justice and perfect mercy at the same time. By rising, He gave us freedom from death and the cares of this life.
We believe that God lives in us by His Holy Spirit; that we are now the temples of his Holy Spirit. His Spirit guides and directs us in life and we have intimacy with Him through His Spirit.
We believe that salvation is by faith in Christ alone and what He accomplished through His death and resurrection, and that works are of no value for salvation but that we do good works as a result of the love He pours out in our lives and the working of His Spirit in us and not to earn His love.
We believe that baptism is an outward expression of our faith and that God desires for us to be baptized as a demonstration of our faith, but that is not a requirement for salvation.
